URBANA, Illinois — The University of Illinois Police Department is congratulating two of its newest officers on their graduation from police academy Thursday, one of whom earned the academy's top honor. Officers Gabriel Donnelly and Candance Williams completed the 16-week basic law enforcement course this summer and will now enter field training at UIPD. URBANA, Illinois – The Division of Public Safety is congratulating Kate Kaput for receiving Clery Compliance Officer certification through the National Association of Clery Compliance Officers and Professionals (NACCOP). Kaput is the Clery Compliance Coordinator in the Division of Public Safety, and the certification adds to her credentials as an expert in compiling crime statistics and disclosing information about public safety issues to the campus community. The event will take place Aug. 1, from 5-8 p.m., on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign south quad. EAST PEORIA, Illinois – The University of Illinois Police Department has been recognized as the top department in the state for responding to mental health-related emergencies. At its annual Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) conference in June, the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) presented U. of I.
