URBANA, Ill. – The University of Illinois Police Department is reminding students that state law and university procedures protect them from getting in trouble when they call 9-1-1 to help someone in need. Illinois state law provides immunity for people under the age of 21 who have been drinking but who call 9-1-1 to get medical help. Police training scheduled at Burnsides Lab

URBANA, Ill. – The University of Illinois Police Department will be conducting training over the next 10 days at Burnsides Research Laboratory, 1208 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Urbana. New state law strengthens stalking protections

URBANA, Ill. – During national Stalking Awareness Month, the University of Illinois Police Department wants to remind students, faculty and staff of the resources available if they ever feel their safety is threatened by another person – including a new state law that strengthens protections against unwanted social media contact.
