The program is looking for qualified students who want to help keep their fellow campus community members safe and learn more about CPR, first aid, self-defense and bystander intervention, among other things. UIPD compliance coordinator earns expert certification

URBANA – The University of Illinois Police Department is congratulating Jennifer Payan for receiving Clery Compliance Officer certification through the National Association of Clery Compliance Officers and Professionals (NACCOP). UIPD detective honored as Officer of the Year

URBANA – The University of Illinois Police Department is congratulating Detective Rachael Ahart on her selection by her peers and supervisors as the 2017 Ralph F. Hamlin Officer of the Year. The award was presented among other UIPD awards at a Friday evening ceremony to recognize the good work of UIPD staff throughout the past year. UIPD invites public comment during accreditation period

URBANA — The University of Illinois Police Department is encouraging members of the general public to call in and leave comments while a law enforcement team examines the department’s policies, procedures, operations and management. The evaluation is a routine part of the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP) accreditation process. The evaluators last reviewed the University of Illinois Police Department in 2012 and gave the department their highest (Tier 2) accreditation level based on its ability to meet each of 180 evaluation criteria.
