Expect delays and road closures during Illinois Marathon

Campus routes will be heavily affected by the Illinois Marathon events beginning Thursday and running through Saturday. Drivers should expect heavy traffic late Thursday afternoon and evening around the area of the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 E. Peabody Drive, Champaign, where the race expo will be held. Achievements in campus safety recognized at ceremony

Road closures to affect north side of campus

URBANA, Ill. – Several road closures will be in place Friday and Saturday to accommodate Engineering Open House on the north side of campus. The following road closures will take place: Mathews Avenue between Springfield Avenue and Green Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.Springfield Avenue between Wright Street and Mathews Avenue will be closed all day Friday and Saturday, including overnight.
